On longer journeys we use an awning, which is docked to the VW bus via a lock. Since we want to dock and undock quickly, we don't use the piping strip or tension cords for this.

The awning has a pole that we can attach in seconds with these brackets. The tent is thus rain and storm proof connected to the bus.

3D printed matter loses its mechanical properties when exposed to UV light and heat. That's why we use ASA plastic for the products in the CaliBulli series. This is harder to print, but will last much longer in use. The holder is designed not to give way even in stormy weather, but will yield to the leverage of the bar to prevent damage to the vehicle.

Personally, I recommend the "ASA Signal Orange" variant, because you can see it better that way and don't forget it.

About this stuff

I rely on Prusament ASA for all components that have to withstand a lot and where elasticity is not required. Printing with this material is more laborious in terms of printer and resource usage, but the physical properties are worth the effort. Thanks to the satin-matt surface, the components look very valuable and classy.

In addition to resilience, these components are used for everything when it comes to UV resistance outdoors.
