I have built various track holders for the Carrera “Digital 143” and “Go” tracks, which allow you to mount the track onto a plywood board in a space-saving way. As well as the pre-printed parts, there are digital model files available for printing on your own 3D printer.
The data and models may not be easy to print on every printer and were developed with my own Prusa printers and print reliability in mind. I’d therefore like to provide a few tips here on how the parts should be printed to ensure they match the original as closely as possible.
- 0.3mm layer height -
3
contours - 0 solid layers for the base and top -
0.6
nozzle - 0% infill -
no skirt, brim or support structures
The small “feet” at the ends are there to improve adhesion and can be easily removed afterwards.
